Renowned blogger and social media personality Dennis Itumbi has weighed in on a headline by Media Max-owned 'People Daily'.
"Wounded Ruto Puts on a Brave Face, " the People Daily headline screamed.
Reacting to the People Daily story, Itumbi disparaged the headline that suggested Deputy President William Ruto had been wounded as fake news.
He contended that the country's second in command was keen on spreading a message of national unity.
He further noted that on the issue of the BBI, the deputy president had requested that the report be brought before taking a position on it.
"This is fake news! (Hii ni fake news) on expired steroids! Fake diagnosis. Which wounds? (Wounds gani?) DP William Ruto's message is unity. H.E. Uhuru preached unity. William Ruto has always said BBI be brought we read (iletwe tusome), Uhuru Kenyatta said exactly that! Uhuru Kenyatta said he will tour Mt Kenya with his government. William Ruto has been doing that like Uhuru's helper (kama mtu wa Mkono!)" Itumbi tweeted.
Following the Sagana State Lodge meeting between the Head of State and political leaders from Mount Kenya region, DP Ruto appears to have been isolated, something that his allies have strongly disputed.
