The pilot of the second in command will be buried on Saturday after the families resolved the wrangles.

The mother of the deceased and a woman who claims she was his wife have now agreed on the burial of the deceased ending a four months stalemate.

The body of the deceased will be transferred to Kitale for burial after the pilot's mother Melania Magonga and his alleged wife Joy Mwangi agreed to bury their hatched to give him a befitting send-off.

The two signed a consent letter when they appeared before High Court judge Jaqueline Kamau.

Magonga met his death after his plane crashed under unclear circumstances. The body of the deceased was transferred to the Lee Funeral Home on March 4, 2019, after DNA tests were conducted to ascertain the identity.

The mother of the deceased has insisted that he was not married and had declined to recognize the woman in question as to his wife. The woman, however, maintained that they had been living together with the man before his demise.

“I am the surviving widow and we have lived together as husband and wife for more than 10 years with Mario,” Mwangi said, as quoted by Standard.
