Two men have been arrested for allegedly plotting to kill their father.The two were arrested from their Kiangoso village home in Nyamira County on Saturday.
According to the suspects’ father William Omosa, his two sons want him dead so that they can inherit his property.
“My sons have been threatening to kill me so that they can inherit my land and other properties,” he said.
He said he noticed that things were not right when heard his sons discussing in their house how they would kill him and inherit property and he immediately changed his bedroom.
“My sons have turned to be goons. They came to my bedroom where I have been sleeping alone. I heard them whispering ‘he is not there what can we do?’ from the other room where I was sleeping. I raised alarm and neighbors arrived only to find them armed with arrows and spears, baying for my blood” he noted.
Manga police boss James Musyimi confirmed the incident and said upon questioning the sons said they wanted to eliminate the man.
He condemned the suspects saying the law will not spare them.
He said the suspects are currently being held at Manga police station and they will be arraigned in court on Monday.
