Police officers in Borabu Nyamira County on Friday nabbed two suspected cattle thieves and recovered 10 stolen cattles.
Police acted following after a successful tipoff from residents in the neighboring area Trans Mara East where the cattle were being hidden.
Area police boss Michael Lesmum confirmed the incident and thanked members of the public for volunteering the information to security officers.
"Members of the public are doing a good job. The two thieves were arrested after we got the a tip from members of the public," he said.
He called on residents who might have lost their animals to report to Borabu police station to identify their animals.
The police boss assured that the suspects will be arraigned in court on Monday to face theft charges.
