Charles Kyalo has been charged alongside Alfred Muia, his lawyer for deceiving Machakos county assembly vetting board. Kyalo had petitioned the county assembly to reject two executive nominees.

The two denied the November 15 charges and were set free on a Sh80,000 bail each. They were charged with unlawfully making a document to deceive the Machakos county assembly vetting board on October 16.

Charles Kyalo and Alfred Muia were petitioning the nomination of Faith Wathome and Naomi Mutie for the county executive positions. Kyola swore an affidavit that was signed by his lawyer Muia.

However, it was noted as a forgery after Muia’s purported law firm disowned the document. This has landed the two in the corridors of law.

The revelation comes after the two nominees were rejected by Machakos county assembly vetting board. The case is scheduled to be mentioned on November 28.
