Two people on Monday July 18, lost their life's after a lorry plunged into the Thwake river.

Thwake bridge is just past Kaani on the Machakos Kitui-Road. 

 According to witnesses the lorry was trying to avoid hitting some animals when the driver lost control and the lorry flew over the bridge instantly causing the death of the driver and the one passenger on board. 

The lorry was ferrying cement and other construction materials.
