Two people died after two trucks collided at Mirera on the Mai Mahiu-Naivasha highway.

According to sources, the driver of a truck coming from the Mai Mahiu lost control and  collided with a truck headed in the opposite direction.

It is suspected that the truck driver might have dozed off thus losing control of his vehicle and collided.

“The driver and an unidentified passenger died on the spot, while the trailer-truck driver and his loader escaped with injuries,” reports the Nation.

Two other people were injured and rushed to the Naivasha Sub-County Hospital for treatment.

The accidents occurred at around 4 am.
