Police on Sunday gunned down two thugs in Kilimani area while on a crime spree along Wood Avenue.

According to police, the two were in a group of three and were indiscriminately robbing people in around the area.

According to Nairobi Police boss Japheth Koome, a pistol and a mobile phone that had been stolen from a victim was recovered during the midnight incident.

“Police officers patrolling the area had responded to screams from members of the public,” he told Capital News.

He says a manhunt operation has been launched against the accomplice, who escaped.
