2 herdsmen were on Thursday charged in a Mombasa court for allegedly assaulting a farmer in Jomvu Constituency.
The suspects who are brothers named as Sifa Juma Serecho and Dume Juma Serecho appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Martin Rabera.
The prosecution told the court that the two attacked and injured Mwinyi Hamisi Masudi at Chamunyu area on October 13, 2017.
The suspects said the farmer confronted them when they asked him why he was blocking them from a road where they used to graze livestock.
They denied the charges and asked the court to release them on bond.
Rebera released them on a Sh20,000 cash bail each.
The case was set for mention on January 15, 2018.
