A police multi-agency team has intercepted a drug trafficking plot at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The plot was part of a wider rachet said to be involving part of the Kenya Airways staff.
On Friday night, police undertook a major sting operation where they intercepted four kilograms of narcotics that were concealed as Kenyan Coffee.
The drugs were found hidden in the crew restroom of Flight KQ 870 destined for Hong Kong in China.
During the operation, two suspects namely Daniel Koech and Paul Omondi were arrested by the strike team.
Both are workers with the Kenya Airways in-flight crew.
According to the Star reports, the two have been working in collusion with some former colleagues at the airline to secretly traffic drugs to Asia and Nethelands.
