Two people were on Wednesday charged before a Nakuru court over the theft of cigarettes worth Sh12 million.

The accused persons were employees of Mastermind Tobacco Kenya.

The suspects identified as William Kipng’eno and Peter Ndung’u appeared before Nakuru senior principal magistrate Liz Gicheha.

The accused however, denied the theft charges leveled against them and asked the court to release them on bond.

Gicheha ordered the suspects to be released on a Sh100,000 bond each with a surety of a similar amount.
