2 people have been arrested for allegedly committing election malpractices in Mavoko sub-county, Machakos county.

According to sources, IEBC clerk James Maingi and Jacinta Nduku, who are Jubilee Mp candidate Kalembe Ndile's agent, were nabbed at Mavoko Primary School polling station at  on Tuesday evening.

They were accused of working together to stuff ballot boxes in Ndile's favour.

Nduku was found with three ballot papers marked for the Jubilee candidate while Maingi was accused of giving them to her.

The two were apprehended after members of the public raised the alarm.

Athi River police boss Sharma Wario confirmed the arrests and said suspects were taken to the police station for questioning and will be charged in court.
