The failure by Kisii and Nyamira Counties to pass people's assembly bill is now haunting Governors John Nyagarama and James Ongwae.
With Raila Odinga set to visit Gusii region in few weeks time to mount pressure for another elections, NASA supporters have pointed accusing fingers to the two county bosses.
"To their best interest, the two should quit for letting us down. It is quite embarrassing that NASA controlled assemblies can fail their leaders," said Dennis Marube, ODM leader in Nyamira.
While Kisii's Ongwae remained mum throughout the process of pushing for assemblies bill, Nyamira's John Nyagarama had earlier promised to ensure the motion passes.
And NASA activists led by Jacob Abere have warned the two governors from attending Raila's rally over what they term as 'betrayal'.
"These two governors do not believe in NASA philosophies. They should quit office as soon as possible or join the other side."
Interestingly, the two governors are facing poll petitions whose verdict shall be known within this month.
Although the exact day for Raila's rally is yet to be identified, Gusii stadium has been chosen as the venue for the grand breaking event.
