Two suspected thugs were on Wednesday night shot dead at Kariobangi South in an incidence police recovered three guns.
The three are said to have been ambushed headed for a robbery mission around midnight.
One of the three was arrested by the police in the ambush.
According to Buruburu DCI chief Jeremiah Ikiao who confirmed the incident, a Glock pistol earlier stolen from a licensed firearm holder in 2014 was recovered.
Police also seized a home-made gun and a third gun that is still being examined.
Tuesday last week, police at Kwa Nguruwe in Kayole shot dead a suspected thug and recovered a pistol in a botched robbery in Nairobi.
Nairobi DCI boss Ireri Kamwende revealed that the suspect was riding on a stolen motorcycle.
