At least 20 heads of state have been invited to attend President Uhuru Kenyatta’s inauguration slated for November 28.

Government spokesperson Erick Kiraithe says preparations for the swearing-in ceremony to be held at the Kasarani stadium in Nairobi are almost complete.

He has also refuted social media claims that the government was soliciting for congratulatory messages for President Kenyatta from foreign countries.

Kiraithe has also warned the opposition NASA against staging any assembly bent on causing anarchy in the country.

Kiraithe says the government will not hesitate to prosecute MCA’s who have endorsed the people’s assemblies terming the move as unconstitutional.

He further says those using county funds to mobilize people for the assemblies will be taken to task for misusing public funds.

He warned the political elite against navigating a path of discord says meetings or political gathering to endorse a political course bent on steering anarchy in the country will be met with the full force of the law.
