The programme which was graced by Kiambu County governor William Kabogo and the county Women Representative Annah Nyokabi.

He said that he and his counterpart Nyokabi are keen in ensuring development in terms of education is embraced citing previous programme where Kiambu students were taken to Poland to further their skills.

“We took some students to Poland and they are being equipped with knowledge and skills which they will apply back home to improve lives of Kiambu residents,” said Kabogo.

Nyokabi who was in the same meeting donated 100 books that she had earlier promised to the heads of department and student leaders.

Nyokabi who was speaking during the launch of Kist-Trancentury in Kiambu Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) on Wednesday said that the Sh1 million worth donations is enough to equip the students to get better education.

The 20 students were the best students in academics in the institution in various courses and scored high grades, but were unable to raise school fees to further their studies past secondary schools.

Nyokabi urged learners to venture into projects that will benefit Kiambu County and come up with solutions to challenges faced in the county.
