A 20 year-old man accused of robbery with violence has been sentenced to hang by a Kiambu Law Court.
David Kanyita Nyoro, appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Justin Onyiego, where the prosecution told the court that on January 14, 2014 at about 0300 hours at Golden Palm estate in Njathaini area, Kiambu County, he committed the offence.
The accused robbed David Kabea Ngethe of his valuables and making way into his house where they clobbered the wife as they stole their laptop, phones and Sh 6000.
Mr Ngethe reported the case to police and upon investigations; Nyoro was apprehended at Githurai 45, Dacha apartments with the stolen items and the laptop bag belonging to Ngethe.
Upon the evidence collected and testimonies given in court the accused was found guilty of robbery with violence.
In mitigation Nyoro said that he was the sole helper to his mother, where the court dismissed it, for it was not found to be sufficient enough.
The magistrate sentenced him to hang.
