KANU Party Secretary General Nick Salat said the Kalenjin community does not owe anyone in the 2017 general elections.
He said the community voted for Uhuru and Ruto in 2013 to save them from the chains of International Criminal Court (ICC).
“We do not owe anyone any debt in 2017. 2013 vote was to save Ruto and Uhuru from ICC and for that reason we don’t owe anyone in 2017,” he said.
He called upon the community to vote for leaders who can help them and not leaders who want power for their own selfish gains.
“No one forces you or points a gun to your head to vote for them. The community paid all the political debts in 2013 and it is now over." He said.
He further cited former President Moi for bringing development especially in the education sector adding that other politicians should emulate.
Salat was speaking during a fundraiser in Baringo county.
