Thika MP Alice Ng’ang’a has termed 2015 as the year of liberation after the various changes that have happened in the year 2014.
Ng’ang’a says the challenges experienced in 2014 have made the government stronger.
She said: “The past two years have brought various misfortunes to the nation with many people pointing fingers at the government. But, the withdrawal of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s case from The Hague was a step towards achieving the Jubilee manifesto set during the campaign period.”
She cited the recent passage of the security bill to tame insecurity as one way of achieving the country’s goals.
The law maker criticised the opposition saying the ball was in their court in matter of insecurity since one of their own Retired major general and cabinet secretary of internal security Joseph Ole Nkaiserry has been appointed from the opposition.
She said that 2015 will start with a kick especially from her constituency, “2015 will start on a high note when I introduce the Thika Girls’ School and disburse bursaries to the needy students,” she said.
The MP was speaking on Saturday at Thika town where she also hailed the President for standing firm against terrorists.
She said this was a good governance, strong and courageous.
