Referendum calls will not derail Deputy President William Ruto's presidential bid in 2022, Kisii County Jubilee Party Youth Secretary General Isaac Motari has said.
According to Motari, no one will stop something whose time has come. He said Ruto will be the next president after President Uhuru Kenyatta completes his final term in 2022.
"With referendum or not, DP Ruto will be president. Kenyans will elect DP Ruto due to his massive following he enjoys across the country. The referendum has nothing to do with DP Ruto's presidential ambition," he noted.
Speaking on Sunday at Gesero market in Bomariba, the vocal politician said the referendum is only meant to subject Kenyans to paying huge taxes given that a lot of money will be used to conduct the referendum.
Motari who has declared interest to run for Bomariba MCA seat in 2022 said DP Ruto's chances of becoming the president are high compared to other aspirants.
"Opposition team has failed to re-organize themselves and I can confirm that opposition's disorderly will see winning election easily," he stated.
The Jubilee Youth Secretary asked DP Ruto to continue traversing the entire country seeking support from the electorates.
