Kakamega senator Bonny Khalwale is among parents celebrating after their children did them proud in 2016 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Khalwale's daughter Inger Imbuhila scored an A-, a move that took the Ford Kenya senator to share her performance on social media.
Imbuhila who schooled at Loreto Girls, Limuru in Kiambu County, made his father proud, given that a good number of students failed the exams, after measures were put in place to prevent exam cheating.
"KSCE/2016: my daughter, Inger Imbuhila Khalwale has scored A-. Thanks to God, my wives and teachers of Limuru High Loreto,'' said Khalwale, on Twitter.
During release of the exams, Thursday, Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i said only 141 students scored grade A.
