Speaking during a fundraiser at Keringet secondary school grounds last week, Ruto said that those pushing for a change of dates were insincere.

The DP, who was accompanied by Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua, his Deputy Joseph Ruto and nominated senator Liza Cheruiyot, defended the government's development track record, saying that the Jubilee government has achieved most of which it set out to do in its first term.

He tasked Ethics and Anti Corruption (EACC) officers to take action against anybody involved in misappropriation of funds in both counties and national governments without discrimination.

The DP faulted the opposition for defending those in their party and are accused of the corruption.
