The question of who actually will win the next presidential election in Kenya still remains a puzzle to be unraveled by voters.
Every team is beefing up their strategies to win voters to their favor in order to overcome their opponents. Political temperature in Kenya is rising day by day as we approach next year general elections.
It is very clear that next election will be a two horse race that is between Jubilee alliance party and Cord coalition. Other parties like Amani coalition lead by Hon. Musalia Mudavadi still do not hold a major portion in Kenya politics as indicated by research done by Ipsos synovate Kenya.
Move by the Cord coalition calling for disbandment of IEBC is seen as a check of political supremacy between Cord and Jubilee government.
The IEBC saga attracted other political parties like Amani coalition supporting the move of removing IEBC officers from office.
It has also attracted independent institutions to come in like Church leaders giving their opinions and LSK giving their stand. This boost Cord coalition party in rallying their support from different part of the country.
Jubilee party is slowly eating into Cords strongholds like Mombasa region, Kisii and Machakos areas rallying their support.
We have also seen some Cord leaders defecting and joining JAP ahead of 2017 election. Cord coalition on the other side started to penetrate into Jubilee strongholds as evidence by KANU party supporting their move of removing IEBC top officers.
Sources also indicate that, KANU will join Cord and support flag bearer during next general election which poses a threat to jubilee as evidence in Kericho senatorial by-election.
To tell who actually will win the next presidential position in the coming 2017 general election cannot be ascertained as at now.
Parties are now making strategies and new events unfold which will affect the future outcome and decision of voters.
