[Photo|Kisumu Girls High School]Winnie Ongiri and Wendy Ondigo have gone to history books after emerging top students in 2017 KCSE exams in Kisumu County.The two victors from Kisumu Girls High School celebrated their sweat after scoring a mean grade of A- in the results released on Wednesday by Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i.During an interview at the school, the students said the were able to concentrate and pass despite the distributions brought by anti-election demonstrations in the lakeside town.In the 2017 results, Karimi Naomi Kawira of Pangani Girls was the best 2017 KCSE candidate nationally.The second best candidate, Sharon Jepchumba of Moi Girls High Shool - Eldoret was second, while Kamau Brian Maina of Alliance High came in third.
