Ambitious, bold with an aura of self-confidence is what best describes him on a glimpse engagement. Meet the 26 years old Gabriel Mungai who has envisioned himself to be amongst the many young turks who are expecting to dance to political showers come 2017.

Born and brought up inNakuru County, Gilgil Constituency, the articulate Mungai has dreams of vying for the Member of County Assembly(MCA )position come 2017 in the Mbaruk/Eburu ward.

On Monday afternoon, the self-proclaimed go-getter shared his dreams with this writer.

"I'm a teacher by profession, aformer student at Kenyatta University who believes in transformational leadership. Come 2017, I will be registering my political interests to the electorate of Mbaruk/Eburu ward," he said.

Mr Mungai is a born again young man who believes that, the future of Kenya's political success lies in the hands of the youth.

He currently teaches at Pema secondary school.

"As a youth in this country, I trust that the tomorrow which we have long ago been promised too is officially now. I throw the challenge to my fellow youth to take the chance and make the best out if it," he said.

He says his motivation to run for the post is his belief for good governance and the agenda to transform the status of "corrupt minds".

" I will be running under the Jubilee Alliance Party and since I know we are many, my dream is still valid," he added.

When asked on his source of finances to run the campaigns, Mungai said that it would be premature of him to disclose his sources and downplayed the fact that money plays a major role when it comes to politics.

Mbaruk/Eburu ward is in Gilgil constituency with an approximate population of 33,395. It comprises of Kongasi, Mbaruk, Eburu sub-location of Nakuru county.

If he continues with the journey, Mungai and others aspirants will be battling to unseat the current MCA Jane Simita.

" No one can stop the idea whose time has come," he said.
