“President Kenyatta receives the Rt. Hon. Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados at State House, Nairobi. Prime Minister Mottley, who is on a State Visit to Kenya, has been accorded a full State Reception including a 19-Gun Salute and Guard of Honour mounted by Kenya Army,” State House tweeted.

This comes a day after Uhuru held separated talks with Jamaican Prime Minister Michael Holness, President Felix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Vice President of Cuba Ines Maria Chapma.

The leaders promised to work together until their nations realise economic development.

Holness later expressed his gratitude to President Kenyatta and the entire nation for the warm reception he was granted during his visit to Kenya.

“My deep gratitude to the government and people of Kenya for a very well organized conference and for the warm Kenyan hospitality and wonderful cultural displays to which we were treated,” he said.
