Former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale has condemned the stoning of Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi's vehicle.
This comes after Mudavadi and the ANC party candidate for the Kibra parliamentary by-election Eliud Owalo went to the Kamukunji ground for a rally, a place that Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party had also allegedly booked for their rally.
In a tweet on Sunday, Khalwale linked the attack to ODM party supporters.
''The stoning of @MusaliaMudavadi in Kibra by @TheODMparty goons this afternoon calls for deep & serious reflection on Odingaism,'' he tweeted.
This is not the first time chaos have been witnessed in Kibra during different party campaigns.
With over 20 candidates to battle for the parliamentary seat, three candidates have been considered favourites.
ODM party's Imran Okoth, Jubilee's MacDonald Mariga and Eliud Owalo (ANC) are the three whom many have given an upper hand in winning the bitterly contested seat.
The Sunday incident came at time leaders and supporters have been argued to maintain peace during campaigns.
The Kibra by-election is slated for November 7, 2019.
