In 2019, the year started with a heartbreaking story where two gospel artistes, DK Kwenye Beat and Hope Kid were linked to an unholy act with a college student in Nakuru.

However, the main issue that almost ruined DK Kwenye Beat's career is when the girl claimed the singer had infected her with a sexually transmitted disease (STI).

The whole story was revealed by Xtian Dela who phoned DK for a comment. Days later, DK apologised.

"I am not a perfect man. I am a fallen man but one that God is working on every day. I am a changed man from what I was back then. I am working my salvation with fear and trembling. Sadly this story has come out when I am on my way to complete reformation," read his post in part.

DK's apology, however, caused trouble, especially for fellow gospel artiste Size 8, who stood with DK when he was asking for forgiveness.

Kenyans on Twitter and Instagram lashed out at Size 8 for defending the two artistes.

She he had to disable her Instagram comments for some days to escape Kenyans' wrath.
