On Sunday, ODM leader Raila Odinga campaigned for Imran Okoth while DP William Ruto stepped in for McDonald Mariga of Jubilee.

Musalia Mudavadi, despite facing resistance, campaigned with Eliud Owalo as campaigns enter homestreach in the city constituency.

But Raila Odinga's ally Silas Jakakimba on Monday mocked State House Digital Innovation Secretary Dennis Itumbi over President Uhuru Kenyatta's absence from campaigns.

Jakakimba, who serves at Raila's Capitol Hill offices, wondered why Uhuru is yet to show up for campaigns yet Itumbi had promised that he will participate.

"When is Jubilee Party Leader, President Uhuru Kenyatta, going to campaign for Jubilee Candidate in the Kibra by-elections? I promise you a sack of OMENA if I get an affirmative answer. Help me congratulate @ImranOkoth , in-coming MP for Kibra Constituency. Ama namna gani?" he wrote.

In a surprise move at State House in September, President Uhuru Kenyatta received Mariga after weeks of rumours that he was opposed to his candidature.

"The President wished Mr Mariga, who was accompanied by Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju, success in the contest, and assured him of his full backing," read the statement.

Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has scheduled November 7th for the polls. Chaos have been witnessed in the last one week.
