Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has claimed that he might begin organizing his own Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) forums, similar to the ones already in progress.

Speaking in Nakuru county on Friday, the controversial lawmaker suggested that the ongoing forums are discriminative, making it hard for him to participate.

He said that as a result, he is thinking of holding separate forums, with the help and support of his colleagues.

"I cannot fit in those meetings. As a result, myself and these MPs who have given me the authority, I will also begin my own BBI meetings in my backyard (Mimi siwezi kutoshea kwa hiyo mikutano, kwa hivyo mimi na hawa wabunge wamenipea ruhusa na nguvu hata mimi huko kwetu nianze mikutano ya BBI)," he said.

Kuria is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, who has been shifting his stands on the proposed constitutional amendment push.

Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika bashed the pro-BBI group of politicians for branding a section of politicians; the group she belongs to, opposers the initiative.

She said that this is not the case, as was clearly demonstrated when they even proposed that the BBI report proposals be immediately passed through the parliament upon release.
