Uriri Member of Parliament Mark Nyamita has insisted that the Jubilee Party has since collapsed, thanks to President Uhuru Kenyatta's truce with former Premier Raila Odinga.
Speaking on Wednesday, the MP who hails from the Raila-led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party noted that the party is no longer there and Kenyans should know that.
He added that Raila's union with Raila has weakened the party, which has resulted in its slow destruction to an extent that it is only awaiting to be pronounced dead.
"Jubilee haiko tena, Jubilee imekufa, hakuna kitu inaitwa Jubilee (there is nothing like Jubilee. Its dead, its nolonger there)," he said on Radio Jambo, Wednesday morning.
He added that the same can be openly seen through the ongoing fights within the party, claiming that Raila's entry has caused disorganization, hence the collapse.
"Baada ya handshake Jubilee imesambaratika, wako disorganized (Jubilee has collapsed after the handshake, the party is now disorganized)," he added.
The party has lately appeared to be divided into two; the Kieleweke and Tangatanga factions, which are divided between Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto.
And while Kieleweke has been championing for the March 9, 2018 handshake, Tangatanga which is opposed to the truce has been campaigning for Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
Members of Tangatanga have also questioned Raila's intentions, claiming that he is most likely out to scuttle Ruto's intentions.
