Previously, Raila was more committed to political rallies and party meetings, something which has rapidly changed ever since he reconciled with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

On Thursday in Nairobi, Mr Odinga was preoccupied outside his Capitol Hill offices, which are also busy all week long due to his high profile status.

At Strathmore University, Mr Odinga attended a Global Energy Conference in which he rallied the governments to shift their focus to renewable energy.

"Attended a roundtable at @su_serc hosted by @Power4All2025 on the rapidly evolving energy sector that’s undergoing a disruptive transformation fueled by decentralized renewable energy (DRE) technologies," he said.

"The aim being identifying barriers to growing the workforce and discussing opportunities for collaborative solutions, thereby creating better livelihoods for rural Kenyans, especially for women and youth across the industry," added Mr Odinga.

Later, Odinga travelled to the outskirts of the city in the neighborhoods of Kiambu where he launched modern housing at Ruaka. The houses were built by investors.

"Presided over the official handing over ceremony of a housing project that has been developed by @CytonnInvest in Ruaka, Kiambu. We may differ on how the dream of providing decent housing can be financed but we can't debate the need for new public housing units in urban centres," he said.

Afterwards, in the company of Makadara MP George Aladwa, Mr Odinga visited the family of former City Hall nominated Councillor Hassan Omido who passed on recently.

"PL @RailaOdinga Consoling the family of the late Hassan Ali Omido former Nominated councilor at the former Nairobi City Council. The late Hassan Omido was also a businessman in Nairobi," ODM tweeted.

Despite his high profile activities, Mr Odinga is yet to announce his presidential bid if any. On the contrary, DP William Ruto has intensified his visits across the country and has often made his presidential ambitions public.
