Kinuthia was a trending topic on Monday, last week, after he covered the arrest of Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro in Murang'a town.

The journalist who did a live link on the arrest for Citizen TV was mocked by Kenyans online over what they termed as 'below-par reporting and poor command of the English language'.

However, a section of his colleagues in the media industry came out to defend him, noting that live reporting is not an easy task.

Kinuthia, who usually reports for Inooro TV in his local dialect Kikuyu, has opted to use the fame he gained during that particular incident to venture into music.

The young reporter has released a Kikuyu song dubbed "Kirindi" which translates to multitude.

"I wrote this song when I was so down, I almost gave up on life, but God's strength came through for me...," he posted on YouTube.

He further revealed that the song is meant to inspire people who are going through a difficult time in their lives.

"Thank you my friends for your kind words. Kindly share the video to inspire someone who may be going through a tough time. God can change their circumstances too. P.S Official video coming soon.." he added.

Here is the song.
