At least 21 people including a parliamentary aspirant have been arrested in Migori and Nakuru County due to violence during th ongoing party primaries.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery has said that the government will punish anybody who threatens the security of Kenyans.
Speaking on Monday, Nkaissery said that his ministry will be cooperating with IEBS to bar aspirants who cause violence from contesting.
The government says it is working together with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries
He cited Homa Bay, Kisii, Migori, Kisumu, Busia, Bungoma, Kiambu, Murang’a, Nakuru, Kajiado, Embu and Mombasa, as the areas politically instigated violence has been witnessed in the recent times.
