This follows claims that all the 41 ward representatives and the assembly Speaker George Okode have been arranging an imaginary trip to Uganda, according to three petitioners.

The three who are part of the Siaya County Accountability Network (SCAN) wrote to the EACC two months ago, lifting the lid on the trip which would allegedly cost Sh200,000 per MCA.

EACC Western Regional Manager Ignatius Wekesa on July 31 wrote to the house with the directive, which dictates that four MCAs will visit the commission's Kisumu offices every day.

The group is expected to begin appearing before the commission from Monday August 12 to August 27, 2019, with Okode expected to appear on August 27 at 10am, reports the Standard.

The petitioners; James Wanga, John Ouma and Irene Atieno also want a probe into the suspicious recruitment of 50 interns.

This is even as some MCAs who did not want to be named expressed fears over possible victimization by the commission.

They added that a probe on other county staff and interns has been ongoing at the county headquarters for the past one month.
