Mwatate MP Andrew Mwadime is currently undergoing treatment at Nairobi Hospital after surviving a grisly accident along Mombasa Road.
According to Bahari FM, the first term Orange Democratic Movement party legislator was driving to Nairobi at the time of the accident.
Mwadime, the station said, was trying to avoid a head-on collision with a Mombasa-bound vehicle when his vehicle lost control and rolled.
"He was trying to avoid head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle but he lost control and rolled," Bahari FM posted on Facebook.
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has since wished the MP quick recovery, confirming that he was hospitalized at Nairobi Hospital after the accident.
"Our prayers are with Hon. Andrew Mwadime, MP Mwatate Constituency who was involved in a road accident today morning. He is currently admitted at Nairobi hospital. Please let's all pray for him," the party wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.
The accident comes at the time the country's top leadership is set to receive Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report which Mr Mwadime has been passionate about.
Mwadime becomes the third MP to be involved in an accident this year.
Migori Woman Representative Pamela Odhiambo and her Nyamira counterpart Jerusha Momanyi survived accidents in different incidents.
