How Raila won in KibrDeputy President William Ruto has poked holes into ODM's win in the Kibra parliamentary race, a seat that was won by Imran Okoth.
This is after the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga led side managed to suppress attempts by the DP, through Jubilee Party candidate McDonald Mariga, to snatch the seat away.
The DP on Saturday denied claims that Raila beat him on the strategy table, claiming that he rode on mayhem and chaos to secure the seat, adding that he deployed militia for the job.
In what is coming out as a weakling cry for Ruto, the DP says that Raila and team resorted to illegal activities to secure the seat, which he says succeeded.
"The only strategy and structure Tinga's party had which largely succeeded was, violence, chaos, mayhem and terror meted out by organized baba's militia, the same instruments used by terrorist organizations including outlawed groups," he tweeted.
The DP was referring to the race where Imran scored over 24,000 votes, beating Mariga, which closest challenger, who managed only slightly above 11,000.
He pointed out that while there is supposed to be calm and order after the 2018 truce between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta, the ODM side has refused to change.
"How sad they have learnt nothing from handshake!" he added.
The DP was most likely referring to the violence that was witnessed against some Jubilee politicians who were manhandled by suspected ODM supporters in the course of the polls.
They include former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale and Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa, who were literary kicked out of Kibra over claims of interfering with the polls.
Khalwale was spotted carrying stones for protection after he was pelted with stones at Laini Saba.
