Governor John Nyagarama could yet again face another tussle with MCAs over suspected loss of Sh800 million meant for various projects.
A report from the Auditor General's office indicates that the county allocated millions for certain projects which were never completed our did not exist.
The Auditor General also questioned millions paid as pending bills, but the county failed to produce supportive documents for scrutiny.
Bogichora MCA George Abuga on Monday accused the goverment of embezzlement of over Sh800 million, arguing that the public must be told.
"We might have lost over Sh800 million. The report by Auditor General is authentic. The public must be told about this," said Abuga.
His remarks were supported by Nyansiongo MCA Dennis Kebaso, who accused MCAs sitting in watchdog committees of engaging in the theft.
"This has been happening and we can't defend it. There is massive embezzlement of funds. Unfortunately, our colleagues in watchdog committees know about it," he said.
