Muthaura earlier in the week proposed the formation of an executive system that will see both the first and second in the presidential race accommodated in government as president and Prime Minister respectively.

But speaking on Saturday, the former Subukia lawmaker faulted the remarks, terming Muthaura a mouthpiece of some hidden figures keen on entering the government.

He branded him a puppet being used by some hidden forces, opining that his remarks are very unlikely based on his own view of things.

"Lazima tujue Muthaura anaongea kama kipazasauti cha watu fulani. Sioni kama alikuwa anaongea kwa sababu anaamini. Naona ni kama kikaragosi cha mtu fulani," he said.

This translates to; "We must know that Muthaura is some people's mouthpiece. I don't think he believes in what he said. I think he is somebody else's puppet," he said.

Koigi made the remarks during an interview on Radio Sauti Ya Mwananchi's Cheche show on Saturday evening.

He added that the suggestion takes the nation back to the ongoing push to have the executive arm of government expanded to house election losers.

"Maoni yake ni ya kutafutia watu kazi (his opinion is aimed at securing jobs for some people)," noted the former MP.

Muthaura's proposal comes as an echo to an already existent push for the formation of the premier position under the sponsorship of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's camp.
