Speaking to the press in Eldoret town on Sunday, Ipara promised to ensure that cases of insecurity which have increased in the county will be dealt with.

“I want to assure Uasin Gishu residents that I will enhance security in the region by increasing patrol in areas perceived to be a security threat. We will leave no stone unturned,” said the incoming Uasin Gishu County Police Commander.

“I am giving a stern warning to gangsters terrorizing wananchi that their days are numbered and that I will not stay mum while the lives of residents are in danger. I will deal with you ruthlessly,” added Ipara.

He also put on notice those selling illicit alcohol saying their days are numbered and that they will soon be brought to book.

There have been increased cases of insecurity in Eldoret town where several vehicles have been stolen while burglary cases have reportedly increased in the outskirts of Eldoret town.

Before he was transferred to Uasin Gishu, Ipara served as the Mombasa County Police Commander.
