Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has said that the results for the Senate hearing of impeaching Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu were flawed.
In a post on her Facebook page, Kihika, without providing evidence said the process and procedure were also flawed.
"Gov Waititu was today impeached by the Senate. However, I voted against the impeachment as I strongly felt the process & procedure were deeply flawed and as such the results were flawed. My best wishes to the great people of Kiambu," the Senator posted on Facebook.
Senators on Wednesday night voted to uphold the Kiambu MCAs decision to impeach Waititu.
The Senate kicked off the process to hear impeachment of the governor on Tuesday.
Wednesday was the final day as 38 senators sat in their respective benches to decide through voting.
Waititu was accused of 3 offences; violating the Constitution, violating the national laws and gross misconduct in the office.
Kiambu MCAs had impeached him in December last year.
The governor is also facing graft-related charges, a case that had seen the court bar him from accessing his offices pending hearing and determination.
