Political scientist Mutahi Ngunyi has urged Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru to sue celebrated rapper Kennedy Ombima popularly known as King Kaka over his controversial song 'Wajinga Nyinyi'.
In the song which was released on Saturday and has since gone viral, King Kaka links Waiguru to National Youth Service (NYS) scandal, where billions of taxpayers money got lost.
Ngunyi said the governor should take the artiste to court for allegedly ruining her reputation, by linking her to corruption without providing evidence.
However, the renowned analyst said even though he was calling for Kaka to be sued, he actually enjoyed the song, which he also thinks Deputy President William Ruto enjoyed.
"To AnneWaiguru: Sue this Kaka... Simpletons should not ruin reputations using newspaper headlines as evidence. But I actually enjoyed this song (in secret). The art and form were incredible! I think Ruto likes it too," Ngunyi tweeted on Monday night.
His sentiments came after Waiguru threatened to sue King Kaka if he fails to delete the song from all social media platforms and apologise to her in writing.
Through Kiragu Wathuta & Company Advocates, the governor also demands that Kaka should not release any further defamatory songs or words against her.
Allegations of being involved in the multi-billion NYS scandal was leveled against Waiguru, when she served as Devolution Cabinet Secretary during President Uhuru Kenyatta's first term.
