Embattled lawyer Miguna Miguna has claimed that Lufthansa Group has issued him with a formal apology.
Through a Facebook post on Thursday, the controversial lawyer noted that he accepts the apology
On Tuesday, Miguna's much-anticipated flight was cancelled due to a Red Alert from alleged Office of the President and was therefore thrown out the plane which was ready to fly.
"The Lufthansa Group which owns and operates Lufthansa, the airline that acquiesced to an illegal RED ALERT by Despot Uhuru Kenyatta and cancelled my flight LH590 to Nairobi on January 6, 2020, has FORMALLY APOLOGIZED to me. I accept their apology." Miguna Miguna noted in the Facebook post.
The lawyer who was deported to Canada after the controversial swearing-in of Raila Odinga as the 'People's President' further insisted that the law allows any Kenyan citizen to travel or work anywhere within its territory.
"Pursuant to Article 39 of the Constitution of Kenya, International Law, International Humanitarian Law, and International Conventions and Protocols, a Kenyan citizen has a RIGHT to enter, leave, move within, live and work in Kenya without any conditions," he noted in another Facebook post.
On Wednesday, government spokesperson advised Miguna to visit any Kenyan Embassy abroad to acquire official travel documents. However, Miguna rejected citing fears to his life.
