Edwin Abonyo, widower to former Bomet Governor the late Joyce Laboso has said that he might consider joining politics in the future, though he remains undecided for now.
Abonyo has since termed himself one of the silent forces behind Laboso's successful political life, before her death in July, after a long battle with the cancer disease.
Speaking on Tuesday, he said that he has not made up his mind on joining the political arena, but that should not be taken to mean that he is completely uninterested.
He added that he also believes that he has the ability to perform as a politician, though yet to try himself in the field.
"Siasa sijafikiria sasa lakini sio eti siwezi (I haven't thought of politics but that doesn't mean I can't do it). Politics is not dirty, those playing it are the dirty ones," he said.
He made the remarks on Radio Jambo's Bustani La Masawe on Tuesday noon, where he admitted that the political scene can as well be a notorious lying zone.
He reiterated his initial claims that some of the politicians who made promises during the funeral serving of his wife ended up being liars, and are yet to fulfill their promises.
"Political matters are not to be relied on, many politocians just make comments (Mambo ya siasa sio mambo ya kutegemea, wengi wanaongea tu)," he added.
About his relationship with Laboso, he revealed that they have been together for over 35 years, despite their tribal differences, him being a Luo and Laboso a Kalenjin.
He said that they remained together despite negative remarks from people from both sides, having met and at a time when intermarriages was not common.
