The country's most shocking and calculated political assassination still remains unsolved, over three years since the assassination of businessman Jacob Juma.
An efficient DCI team has remained mum over Juma's assassination, despite being eliminated within the Nairobi City, one of the most protected areas in the country.
With justice yet to be achieved by Juma's family, it's unclear whether or not those he met and interacted with minutes to his death were ever called again for interrogation.
One of those who spent the last minutes with Juma was Cheryl Kitonga, a young lady who had visited Juma's house before they left.
In an investigation carried by the Jicho Pevu crew, Ms Kitonga admitted having met Juma and spent time with her. She sounded terrified during the interview.
"Yes, I met him. He dropped me at town center and I proceeded to my home in South B. I am terrified. It was the first time I met him and this has happened. I am fearing," she said.
When police were put to the task to explain the progress, the then CID boss Ndegwa Muhoro, now an envoy, confirmed summoning Ms Kitonga.
"We are in touch with many people who were with him or those he called. This includes the lady who was captured in the CCTV. She has recorded a statement," he said.
ODM leader Raila Odinga, also a close ally of the slain businessman, accuser the police of executing Juma over corruption scandals he had revealed.
"The last time I spoke to him was on that fateful day. He called me at around midday and said that he had some important matters to discuss with me and therefore he was inviting me for a lunch date.
"I told him I had some matters in parliament and we agreed we meet in the evening. That's the last time we spoke.This is a police hit squad that is known. It has been used in all those other murders. Jacob knew it was going to happen. All of us knew about it," he said.
Until now, Juma's assassination remains in a limbo with his killers still walking free. Unlike other murders, CID team has remained non committal towards arresting killers.
