Speaking on Monday, the former Subukia MP noted that unlike Uhuru, the first president appeared more friendly to his critics, as opposed to his son.

He said that Kenyatta always saw it fit to accommodate his critics in government, which is jot the case with Uhuru who has left all his critics and rivals in the cold.

He noted that even after falling out with the likes of founding Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and Bildad Kaggia, Kenyatta always secured them slots in government entities.

But for Uhuru, he noted, though the president has been recycling former politicians and allocating them state jobs, his critics remain out and uncared for.

"Kenyatta had his own shortcomings but I recognize him because even after parting ways with Oginga and Kaggia, he still gave them jobs (Kenyatta alikuwa na kasoro zake lakini namtambua kwa sababu hata baada ya kukosana na akina Oginga na Kaggia, aliwapa kazi)," he said.

He made the remarks on Radio Sauti Ya Mwananchi's Kero Nyeti on Monday morning.

He also accused Uhuru of sidelining second liberation fighters, people who participated in the push for democracy.

The politician, who spent years in prison over his participation in the push, painted out that since he took over, Uhuru has never recognized second liberation fighters as he awards others.

He added that similarly, they are never considered for state jobs, which he said are instead given to people considered loyal.

"The jobs being given are given to loyal people. I don't know if Uhuru has even recognized anyone as a democracy fighter. You will be given neither a job nor a medal (Kazi zile zinapeanwa ni za watu waaminifu. Sijui kama Uhuru amewahi kumtambua mtu yeyote kama mpigania demokrasia. Utakosa kazi na utakosa medali)," he added.
