Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria had lashed at his perceived political critics, accusing them of fueling bad relationship with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In recent months, Kuria has been speaking from a different script from that of President Uhuru Kenyatta, with Building Bridges Initiative report contents being the latest topic of divergent views.
Last week, President Uhuru Kenyatta hit at leaders from Mt Kenya allied to Deputy President William Ruto, a move that aims at setting the pace ahead of 2022 politics.
On Monday, Kuria linked former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru to his predicaments.
"When am asking about very serious matters like our coffee, am told to respect the president. And when you look around, those pushing the agenda are my political enemies like Kabogo," he said.
The second term lawmaker asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to distance himself from the politicians, arguing that they are using Uhuru to resuscitate their careers.
"I want to ask the president to stop being misled by people whose political careers are dead. You're not a political Lazarus. I think you're more intelligent than that. And the president knows where we've come from," he said.
Mr Kuria has been on the receiving end from a section of Mt Kenya politicians who accuse him of allegedly undermining President Uhuru Kenyatta.
