Tiaty MP William Kassait Kamket on Saturday mounted a brutal attack on Deputy President Dr William Ruto, claiming that he has destroyed his own path to the presidency.
According to the MP, DP Ruto's 'hastiness' has made him an unpalatable presidential candidate, saying that the only acceptable candidate that the Kalenjin community could support is Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.
Given his hastiness, Kassait claimed that the DP's presidential ambitions had become untenable.
"The better option for the Kalenjin nation is muheshimiwa Gideon Moi. The other one's path has been destroyed already. And it is him who has destroyed his own path because of his hastiness. (Huyo mwingine barabara yake tayari kushaharibika. Na ni yeye mwenyewe ameharibu njia yake kwa sababu amekuwa na haraka sana na kimbelembele mingi.), " the Tiaty legislator said.
He charged that the DP was not listening to advice that was being given to him to go slow on politics.
Kamket's strong words come amid speculation of widening cracks in the Rift Valley.
Moi's and Ruto's allies continue to trade barbs publicly over the two leaders' 2022 presidential ambitions.
