Kenyans have expressed mixed reaction after Modern Coast Express Limited issued its statement following a decision by the National Transport And Safety Authority (NTSA) to suspend their operations over alleged poor road safety record.
Taking to its Facebook page on Thursday after the ban, Modern Coast management issued a brief statement concerning the accident, outlining actions they had taken over affected travellers, and promised to give a complete statement in the near future after investigations will be done.
They said all affected travellers will be given back their money by Monday.
"For those who had already booked to travel with us, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and a refund of the same will be initiated from Monday 16th December 2019," read part of the statement.
The company further expressed their condolences to the families and friends who lost their loved ones in the tragic accident which happened along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
