The Head of State had promised the institution during 2017 campaigns and had it delivered in person at State House Nakuru on Wednesday.

Students of the institution and BOM team received the bus. Woman Representative Jerusha Momanyi led the team that also featured other local leaders.

"President Kenyatta today handed over 52-seater buses to Mary Immaculate Academy and Nyachogochogo High School at State House, Nakuru.

"The President also donated indigenous tree seedlings to the schools and challenged them to be mindful and look after the environment," State House said.

Mrs Momanyi said the bus will help the institution and the surrounding community on transport, adding that students will be able to participate important activities in speed.

She also thanked powerful Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i for facilitating the donation, the second to Nyamira by the President after the one to Nyambaria High School.

"It's an important contribution and I thank God for that. The institution has been doing well. We also thank Dr Matiang'i for making follow up," she said.
